Refund Policy.

Plain-English summary of when we refund, how much, and how long it takes. The TL;DR: full refund window varies by product — instant digital products (Lite Scan) are refundable until the magic-link is used, written audits are refundable until Kunal sends you the PDF, and retainers follow a 14-day satisfaction window.

1. Scope

This policy covers payments made through kunaldabi.com for services provided by KD Digital — including AI Radar tiers (Free Preview, ₹499 Lite Scan, $99 Snapshot Audit, $499 Deep Audit, $1,997 Strategic Audit), monthly local SEO retainers, paid AI search audits, 60-minute strategy calls, and custom invoices. Payments are processed by Razorpay.

2. AI Radar tier-by-tier refund rules

The AI Radar product line has five tiers. Each has a different fulfillment shape, so each has a different refund treatment.

2.1 Free Preview ($0)

Nothing was charged, so there is nothing to refund. The free preview is rate-limited to one per email/IP/browser/target-domain per 24 hours and protected by Cloudflare Turnstile.

2.2 ⚡ Lite Scan (₹499 / $6) — instant self-serve

The Lite Scan is an instant-consumption digital product. We mint a single-use magic-link token immediately after Razorpay confirms payment.

• Before the magic-link is opened (token un-consumed): 100% refund, no questions asked. Request within 7 days of payment.
• After the magic-link opens the wizard and the scan runs (token marked consumed in our logs): no refund. The API costs have been incurred and the results dashboard is yours to keep. You can revisit the results URL at any time.
• If the scan fails for a technical reason on our side (server error, all engines timed out, results dashboard never rendered): full refund OR a fresh magic-link, your choice. Email us with the scan_id.

2.3 🛰️ Snapshot Audit ($99 / ₹8,200) — human review + PDF

The Snapshot Audit bundles the same scan as Lite Scan (at the larger 30 keyword × 6 engine × 3 city scope) PLUS Kunal personally reviews and writes a 20-30 page PDF audit within 5 business days.

• Before Kunal sends the PDF (anywhere in the first 5 business days): full refund on request. You keep the dashboard results.
• After the PDF is emailed to you: no refund. The deliverable has been provided.
• If the scan fails technically: same as Lite Scan — full refund or fresh magic-link.

2.4 🔍 Deep Audit ($499 / ₹41,500) — bigger scope + PDF + 30-min call

Deep Audit is 60 keywords × 6 engines × 5 cities, a 40-page PDF, and a 30-minute strategy call. Delivery target is 7 business days.

• Before the 30-min call is held AND before the PDF is sent: full refund.
• After the call OR after the PDF is sent (whichever comes first): no refund.
• If the call is rescheduled by us, the refund window extends to match.

2.5 🎯 Strategic Audit ($1,997 / ₹1,66,000) — 90-day plan + 2 calls

Strategic Audit is 100 keywords × 6 engines × 5 cities, a 60-page PDF + 90-day action plan, two strategy calls (kickoff + day 30), and a repeat scan on day 90 to measure lift. Delivery target is 14 business days for the first PDF.

• Before the kickoff call is held AND before the first PDF is sent: full refund.
• After kickoff call held OR after first PDF sent: refund reduced to 50% (acknowledges that the day-90 follow-up scan, second call, and remaining roadmap work haven't yet been delivered).
• After the day-30 follow-up call: no refund. The bulk of the human work has been delivered.

3. Other one-time products

3.1 60-minute strategy calls

• Cancel ≥24 hours before the scheduled time: 100% refund.
• Cancel <24 hours before or no-show: no refund. Reschedule within 7 days is offered as a courtesy.

3.2 Paid AI search audit (legacy single-product offering)

If you purchased the standalone "Paid AI search audit" (the predecessor to AI Radar tiers, listed on /payment/ as a separate plan), the refund rule mirrors the Snapshot Audit: full refund until the written PDF is emailed, no refund after.

4. 14-day satisfaction review (new monthly retainers)

For every new monthly retainer (Single-location, Multi-location, Franchise), the first 14 calendar days are a "satisfaction review window." During this window:

• If you're not satisfied with the quality, scope, or fit, you may cancel and request a refund of any retainer time that hasn't been worked.
• Deliverables already produced (audit reports, citation work in flight, content drafts, technical recommendations) remain yours to keep.
• Refund issued as pro-rata of the monthly retainer minus work done. Example: cancel on day 7 of a $1,500/month engagement → refund of approximately $1,500 × (23/30) = $1,150, assuming no major deliverables have shipped.

5. After day 14 (ongoing retainers)

Once we're past the satisfaction window, the engagement is month-to-month. You may cancel at any time with 30 days written notice (sent to [email protected]). During the notice period, work continues normally; no further refund applies because the current month's work has been performed.

6. What is never refundable

• AI Radar API costs already incurred — once a magic-link token is consumed and the scan runs, we've already paid for the LLM and scrape calls. The dashboard is yours, the cash is spent.
• Work that has already been performed and delivered (citations placed, reviews managed, content published, schema deployed, reporting cycles completed, AI Overview / GEO citations earned).
• Written audit PDFs that have already been emailed to you.
• Strategy calls that have already been held.
• Pass-through ad spend already paid to Google / Meta / LSA (these go directly to the platform, not to KD Digital).
• Third-party tool subscriptions (BrightLocal, Local Falcon, Ahrefs, etc.) if I purchased a seat specifically for your account on your behalf.
• Engagements terminated for cause (fraudulent chargeback, abusive conduct, withholding access we need to do the work, or providing false information to KYC).

7. How to request a refund

Email [email protected] from the same email used at checkout, with:

• Your Razorpay payment ID (from the confirmation email).
• For AI Radar refunds: your scan_id (it's in the dashboard URL, e.g. r_20260608_xxxx) so we can check whether the token was consumed.
• The reason for the refund request.
• Whether you'd like to discuss adjusting scope first (often a 15-minute call resolves the underlying concern faster than a refund cycle).

I respond to refund requests within 1 business day and process approved refunds within 3–5 business days.

8. Processing timeline

Once approved and submitted to Razorpay:

• Cards: 5–7 business days to appear on the original card statement.
• UPI / NetBanking: 3–5 business days back to the source account.
• International cards: 7–10 business days, depending on issuing bank.

The refund is always returned to the original payment method — Razorpay does not allow refunds to a different card or account.

9. Chargebacks

If you have a dispute, please contact me first — almost every refund-able situation gets resolved by email faster than a chargeback. Filing a chargeback without first contacting KD Digital is considered a breach of these terms and may result in the engagement being terminated and a debt-collection process initiated for any work performed in good faith.

10. Currency & conversion

Refunds are issued in the same currency you paid in (USD, EUR, GBP, or INR). If your card was charged in a different currency than your settlement currency (e.g., you paid in USD but your bank settled in INR), a small conversion delta of 0.5–2% is possible — this is the issuing bank's spread, not a KD Digital deduction.
